New Year’s Eve drifters held accountable

According to the Tashkent City Traffic Safety Department, measures are being taken against drivers who disturbed the night-time peace on New Year’s Eve. This was reported by upl.uz.reports.

A video circulated on social media showing individuals driving a Mercedes-Benz and a VAZ-2107 performing dangerous maneuvers, including drifting, near a park in Yashnobod district. They obstructed other vehicles and posed a threat to the safety of road users, including pedestrians.

Following the incident, an administrative report was filed against the offenders under the article “Road hooliganism” of the Code of Administrative Liability. They face a driving ban for 1 to 2 years, as well as a fine of 25 BCU (10,300,000 soums).

The offenders’ vehicles were placed in an impound lot.
