Detailed information was provided on the criminal case against the employees of "Taftish.uz"

Law enforcement agencies are investigating a criminal case against members of a criminal group operating under the name "Taftish.uz." According to official data, 27 citizens appealed to the internal affairs bodies, and in 21 cases, they reported being victims of the illegal actions of the media platform's employees. Following these cases, the suspects were detained in accordance with the established procedural order.
According to the investigation documents, representatives of "Taftish.uz," affiliated with "Elita-media" LLC, acted under the slogan of openness and public control, supposedly with the ideas of transparency and control, and in practice turned extortion and fraud into a permanent source of income for themselves. It is noted that Gayrat Aberaev, who unofficially led the criminal group, and his accomplices intimidated citizens with discrediting and damaging videos and demanded money in exchange for their deletion or removal from the Internet.
In particular, it is stated that in Tashkent and Samarkand regions, conflicts related to entrepreneurs were deliberately covered unilaterally, one-sidedly, and then tens of millions of soums were required to remove, delete, or hide the materials. In some episodes, attempts were made to disguise the money with a "contract," to formalize it in the form of a formal agreement. It is noted that entrepreneurs were forced to transfer money due to pressure, threats, and intimidation.
It is also reported that during the investigation, false videos insulting the honor and dignity of some victims were disseminated, and instances of interference in court proceedings and attempts to influence the court were exposed. Currently, the suspects are charged under the articles of the Criminal Code related to defamation, fraud, extortion, and the dissemination of false information.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged other citizens who have suffered from such situations and believe their rights have been violated to appeal to investigative bodies. It is not excluded that this summons may reveal additional circumstances and new episodes in the case.
