18,800 dollars hidden among bread were discovered in Andijan

Employees of the Andijan Regional Customs Department prevented an attempt to export a large amount of cash currency through the "Dustlik" border customs post. We are talking about 18,800 US dollars - the money is in an ordinary bag, placed in a place where everything seems peaceful.
It was reported that the citizen crossing the border chose the red corridor when passing customs control. He also filled out a customs declaration, stating that he had currency with him within the established norm. After processing the documents, customs officers checked the citizen's handbags.
An interesting situation was observed during the inspection. In a verbal inquiry, the citizen said that the bag contained bread and sweets bought for relatives. However, it turned out that 18,800 dollars were hidden among the bread. In short, the "main ingredient" inside the "gift-hello" bag turned out to be different.
Currently, a preliminary investigation is underway. The purpose for which the funds were intended to be withdrawn, where they were directed, and other details will be clarified during the investigation.
We remind you that, according to the legislation, individuals can export cash up to 100 million soums without restrictions in the prescribed manner. Therefore, the most correct way to cross the border is not to hide funds, but to follow the rules. Because at customs, "bread" is also checked - especially if "currency crunchs" among the bread.
