In the city of Namangan, two women who planned to take young and divorced women abroad and force them into prostitution were exposed. This was reported by the press service of the Namangan regional Department of Internal Affairs.
It was found that the suspects — women residing in Davlatabad district and the city of Namangan — having заранее conspired, planned to send socially vulnerable and divorced women to a foreign country, in particular to Turkey, in order to involve them in prostitution.
During the inquiry, it was established that they gained the trust of a girl born in 2001, living in the Yangi Namangan district, by deceiving her with various promises, false information and job offers. After that, while attempting to take the victim to the city of Ankara through Tashkent International Airport for prostitution, they were detained by law enforcement officers with material evidence.
It is noted that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan — human trafficking (part 2). Currently, investigative actions are being carried out against the suspects in accordance with the law.
The regional Department of Internal Affairs called on citizens not to trust promises of jobs and high income, not to provide their personal information to strangers, and to immediately contact law enforcement agencies if they encounter such situations.
