"Marijuana" hidden in 57 matchboxes was discovered in Denau

During an operational event against drug trafficking in the Denau district of Surkhandarya region, a large quantity of marijuana was discovered. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to information, during the event, the apartment of citizen T.A., born in 1967, residing in the Denau district, was inspected. During the inspection, a total of 347 grams of marijuana were found in 37 matchboxes located in the garage area of his house.
Also, 187 grams of marijuana, hidden in 20 matchboxes and stored for sale, were officially seized as evidence from the interior of a ZIL car belonging to the citizen and without license plates.
As a result, a total of 536 grams of drugs stored in 57 matchboxes were seized.
Currently, an inquiry and additional investigation are being conducted in accordance with the law. Responsible agencies are investigating how the suspect obtained the drugs and possible connections with their distribution.
