A criminal case has been initiated against the responsible persons in connection with the construction of the "Rohat" residential complex in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent. Kun.uz reported this, citing a source in the internal affairs bodies.
It was reported that the head of the construction company and the head of the sales department were detained. They are suspected of large-scale fraud. The number of victims exceeds 200, and the economic damage identified so far exceeds 50 billion soums.
It is noted that the "Rohat" residential complex is being implemented by "Broccoli Plus" LLC. LLC was registered in March 2020, headed by Shohbozmirzo Hojiyev, founders - Sadullo Nasulloyev and Aslbek Karimov.
It was also reported that this residential complex was previously put up for auction based on a court decision to pay off the construction company's $5.5 million loan debt to the bank. Currently, hundreds of buyers who bought houses through shared ownership are worried about the new ownership rights. They warn of the possibility of selling the houses at auction and disagreements with new buyers.
