A new khokim has been appointed for Jarkurgan district following an extraordinary session of the District Council of People’s Deputies held on March 27. According to the Surkhandarya regional administration’s press service, the decision was made during the session with the participation of local deputies.
At the meeting, it was announced that Elmurod Avazov had been relieved of his duties as khokim of Jarkurgan district. The regional khokim then proposed the candidacy of Ilhom Ochilovich Saparov for the post. Members of the district council reviewed the nomination and approved it.
Ilhom Saparov was born in 1975 in Termez district. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Termez State University in 2002 and later finished a master’s degree there in 2011. During his career, he worked in senior roles in the Surkhandarya regional departments of secondary specialized and vocational education, public education, and culture.
Before this appointment, Saparov had been serving as deputy khokim of Surkhandarya region. His move to Jarkurgan district marks a new stage in his public service career.
