Investigation launched against father following video of child pulling tire

Videos showing a father in the Fergana region tying his young son to a car tire and making him run have sparked intense discussion on social media. The footage shows a child, approximately 8–9 years old, performing strenuous physical exercises, which has drawn criticism from many users.

The videos were posted on Instagram by the child's father. He referred to his son as his "monster son" and claimed that through these exercises, he would "reach his goals." However, no specific information was provided regarding what those goals were.

The Children's Ombudsman also responded to the situation. Representatives of the office stated that involving children in such activities for social media content is "not normal practice."

According to the Ombudsman, relevant authorities are currently working to identify the father and provide a legal assessment of the situation. It was also noted that protecting children's privacy and safety on the internet remains a pressing issue.
