Abdukadir Khusanov has become a dream...
The name of Abdukadir Khusanov, who started his career at Manchester City, is often mentioned in various news.

In particular, Zaur Tedeev, who manages the Russian Premier League debutant Akron, in an interview with matchtv.ru, also spoke about Manchester City defender Abdukadir Khusanov and the achievements of Uzbek football.

The Sports.uz portal brings to the attention of Uzbek football fans the views of this expert on Uzbek football.

- I have a wonderful example in my mind - Anatoly Yurevich managed to train a perfect central defender - Abdukadir Khusanov at Energetik-BU.

This young man is currently playing for Manchester City. I must say that when I was managing Alania, I wanted to bring Khusanov to this team.

When I saw Abdukadir a long time ago, I thought that this is the player I would need. It was a bit of a mistake to say that the future Virgil van Dijk was growing up.

When I came to Akron, Khusanov had already moved to Lens. Getting this defender from there was simply impossible...

I would like to see the level of players that are currently being trained in Uzbekistan in Russia. I want Russia to have very strong central defenders around the age of 20. I think that this is exactly what we are lacking.

If we pay serious attention to this issue, we will also have such high-level players, - said Zaur Tedeev.

It is worth noting that after Abdukadir Khusanov became a Manchester City player on January 20 of this year, the Russian football community criticized the agents, breeders, sports directors and specialists responsible for selecting players in the national football team for not being able to notice such a bright talent as the Uzbek player in a timely manner.

In particular, Abdukadir Khusanov left for Belarus after learning the secrets of football at Bunyodkor. Our compatriot simply attended Energetik-BGU training until he was 18 years old.

The player, who signed his first professional contract with Energetik-BGU in 2022, moved to Lens, the then vice-champion of France, a year later.

It was a real sensation that Manchester City was willing to spend a total of 50 million euros, including bonuses, to acquire our 20-year-old legionnaire, who during his one and a half year career in France has become one of the strongest defenders in Europe.

Currently, another Uzbek player, Sherzod Esanov, is playing under Zaur Tedeev. The 21-year-old central midfielder moved from Andijan to Akron last summer.

Sherzod has played for Togliatti in the Russian Premier League and the country's Cup six times, making a total of 12 appearances.
