Real Madrid were eliminated from the Champions League after losing both legs to Arsenal, euro-football.ru reported. The Spanish club fell 0-3 in the first leg and 1-2 in the second, failing to reach the semifinals.
After the match, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti spoke to Movistar, sharing his thoughts:
“To change the course of the tie, we needed something positive. We needed a boost of confidence. We tried, but we couldn’t shift the momentum from the first match. Let’s be honest — Arsenal deserved to go through based on both games. Football has two sides: joy and sadness. We’re rarely on the sad side, but we must deal with it to become better in the future,” said Ancelotti.
Real Madrid’s next match is scheduled for April 20 against Athletic Club in La Liga. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
