The Netherlands is one of the countries that has produced famous stars in European and world football. Football masters from this country have been demonstrating their talents in the strongest leagues in the world.
One of such stars is Ryan Babel, a famous graduate of the Ajax academy. During his professional football career, he twice won the Dutch championship, the national cup and the super cup. Babel's brightest period was when he played for the English club Liverpool in 2007-2011.
Babel, who will retire at the age of 38 in November 2024, has also played for Liverpool and Ajax, Hoffenheim in Germany, Deportivo in Spain, Fulham in England, Al Ain in the UAE, Kasimpasa in Turkey, Besiktas, Galatasaray and Eyupspor.
Ryan Babel has spoken about two talented players who have recently signed contracts with the strongest clubs in the English Premier League - Abdukadir Khusanov from Uzbekistan and Dastan Satpayev from Kazakhstan.
- Many people ask me about Dastan Satpayev's transfer to Chelsea. If I had the opportunity to talk to him, I would tell him to listen carefully to the advice of the club's coaches. Because only then will he be able to adapt to the local environment faster. Good language skills also play a very important role in connecting with the team.
The most important thing is self-confidence. Sometimes the pressure of the fans can have a negative effect on a player. In such situations, it is very important to be able to focus on your goals, - says Ryan Babel.
He also touched on the transfer of young Uzbek footballer Abdukadir Khusanov to Manchester City:
- Yes, this transfer is of great importance for Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and, in general, for countries where football is developing. When such young talents appear, scouts from leading European clubs pay even more serious attention to the markets of these countries.
My beloved team Ajax is a great example in this regard. This club has extensive experience in identifying young and highly potential players, developing them professionally and taking them to the highest levels, - said the experienced player.
It is worth noting that on January 20, 2025, Manchester City transferred Uzbek central defender Abdukadir Khusanov from the French club Lens for 40 million euros. Thus, Khusanov made history as the first player from Central Asia to play in the English Premier League.
Also, London club Chelsea signed 16-year-old Kazakh player Dastan Satpaev on a 5-year contract. Satpaev's transfer cost Chelsea 4.3 million euros. The young talent will play for his native club Kairat until he turns 18. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
