After the matches of the 8th round of the Uzbek Super League, another coach was forced to resign. This time, the head coach of the Guzar team "Shurtan" Anvar Berdiev was dismissed.
It should be recalled that in the match held yesterday, "Shurtan" hosted the Samarkand "Dinamo" club at home and lost with a score of 1:3. This defeat caused the team's management to run out of patience.
It was natural that "Shurtan"'s results this season would come under criticism in any order. The team lost to its opponents in seven of the eight matches held within the Super League, and ended only one match with a draw. Thus, the Guzar team remained in last place in the tournament table and is currently limited to one point.
The club's management, having comprehensively analyzed the current situation, decided to terminate the contract with Anvar Berdiev, who had been leading the team, ahead of schedule. This was officially announced by the press service of the "Shurtan" club.
If we look at Anvar Berdiev's career at Shurtan, the specialist took over the team in May 2023. One of his main achievements was to lead Shurtan to the Super League at the end of 2024 after a long 7-year break.
However, due to the failures of the current season, serious problems in the team composition and insufficient effectiveness of the playing style, Berdiev was forced to leave his post.
Currently, the team's management is actively working on appointing a new coach. It is planned to officially announce who will be offered to Shurtan as head coach in the coming days. The team's fans hope that with the arrival of the new coach, the results will improve and Shurtan will retain its position. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
