Referees Academy begins operations in Uzbekistan

In order to bring the Uzbek football refereeing system to a new level and improve the theoretical knowledge and practical experience of young referees, the Uzbek Football Association has established the Referees Academy.

Today, a meeting was held at the Chigatay sports base with the participation of the UFA leadership, experienced instructors and promising young referees on the occasion of the official opening of the academy. The participants were given detailed information about the main tasks of the academy, training programs and opportunities created for young referees.

In his speech, UFA First Vice-President Ravshan Ermatov emphasized that this project will play an important role in the development of football refereeing not only in our country, but also in the region. He also noted that this previously unimplemented initiative will serve to bring the country's refereeing system into line with world standards.

“A football referee must know every rule, every detail, and constantly work on himself. Refereeing is a profession that requires not only knowledge, but also dedication and high responsibility,” said Ravshan Ermatov.

The Referee Academy is expected to play an important role in shaping the skills and qualifications necessary for young professionals to officiate games on international stages, as well as in their professional development. This, in turn, will serve to increase the prestige and quality of Uzbek football.

The new Academy will not only be a training center, but also provide an opportunity for young referees to exchange experience, analyze and constantly grow.

It is worth noting that the training process at the academy consists of 6 modules, and 25 referees selected through practical training will participate in Module 1 of the training course from May 6 to 12. Referees who successfully complete the training courses will be recommended to officiate in tournaments in the First League, Pro League, Super League and AFC classifications. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
