Jahongir Zokirov triumphed in the final of the “World Boxing Cup”: he brought our team the sixth gold medal

The members of the Uzbek national team continue to demonstrate their skills and will in the finals of the prestigious “World Boxing Cup” tournament in Poland.

One of today’s decisive fights was both a big test and a great opportunity for Jahongir Zokirov, who entered the ring in the +92 kg weight category. He fought against his Norwegian opponent Omar Shiha in the final and held the advantage for three rounds.

According to the judges’ decision, the victory in this fight was awarded to the Uzbek boxer. This result was the sixth gold medal for our national team in the current competition.

Jahongir Zokirov’s high-level actions, technically well-developed punches and mental preparation led him to victory.

After the final, our boxer expressed gratitude to the fans and team members. “This victory is the result of teamwork. I tried to defend the honor of my country,” he said during an interview.
