Strong opponents, tough schedule and high hopes: CAFA U17 2025 kicks off tomorrow

Tomorrow, May 24, the CAFA U17 Championship 2025 will start at the “Friendship” stadium in Tashkent region. This prestigious competition, organized by the Central Asian Football Association, is one of the most important tournaments among juniors.

As it became known during the draw for the group stage of the competition, the Uzbek youth team has been placed in Group “A”. Our team, led by Sergey Chigodaev, will face quite strong opponents such as Iran and Kyrgyzstan. In Group “B”, teams such as Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will compete.

Our team will start the competition on May 24 against Kyrgyzstan. This match will start at 20:30. On May 28, the Uzbek youth team will play against Iran. This match is also expected to be an interesting and principled match for the fans.

The final match of the CAFA U17 Championship 2025 will be held on May 31 at 19:30. The champion will be determined on this day. Before that, matches for 5–6 and 3–4 places will be held on May 30.

All matches within the tournament will be held at the “Dostlik” stadium in the Tashkent region. This stadium has hosted many youth competitions and is an important venue for the development of national teams.
