Maxim Shatskikh has reawakened "Andijan": the team is ready for a new victory!

In the 11th round of the Uzbek Super League, Andijan hosted Surkhan and won an important 2:1 victory in a heated match. After the match, Andijan head coach Maxim Shatskikh answered journalists' questions at a press conference and shared his thoughts on the game.

"I want to celebrate this victory together with all Andijan fans. Because this victory was very necessary for us, and our team achieved it by working hard. The team was under pressure due to the negative results in the last few matches, but today's victory restored our confidence and mood. Our players showed great courage and determination. True, there were some mistakes in our game, which we need to work on. However, the most important thing now is that we are heading to the Super Cup final in good spirits through this game," said Maxim Shatskikh in his speech.

One of the questions at the press conference was about the Surkhan team's performance at the beginning of the match. The coach acknowledged this and explained the reason for this:

"It is true that the opposing team took the lead in the first minutes of the match. The main reason for this was the pressure on our players and the lack of confidence in their own strength due to the unsuccessful series. In addition, several key players in our squad were unable to play due to injuries. We were forced to include players in other positions as much as we could. However, during the break, we had a serious conversation with the players and agreed to completely change the game. This strategy paid off."

When asked about the team's new style of play, Shatskikh admitted that there are differences between Andijan's previous and current styles:

"We used a 4-1-4-1 formation against Shurtan, but today we played in a 4-4-2 formation. We are also thinking about switching to a 4-2-3-1 formation in the future, because this system is very flexible during the game. However, our players must be ready for this. I have only had three training sessions with the team so far, and it is difficult to make big changes in such a short time. But I am seriously thinking about how to surprise Nasaf in the Super Cup final that is ahead of us," Shatskikh said.

The coach also emphasized that the current squad of "Andijan" is not at a high individual level and that the team can only win through unity and solidarity:

"We do not have players who can decide the fate of the game with their individual skills. If we unite as a team, we can achieve any result. Footballers must fight on the field in every episode and work hard. This is important for the respect and trust of our fans. Because "Andijan" fans cannot tolerate defeat. We will continue to work hard and seriously fight for trophies."
