In the 11th round of the Super League, a fierce and intense match took place between “Pakhtakor” and “Khorezm”. The match ended in a dramatic 2–1 victory for “Pakhtakor”. At the post-match press conference, the head coach of “Khorezm”, Hakim Fuzailov, analyzed his team’s performance in detail and answered questions of interest to fans.
According to Fuzailov, “Khorezm” had prepared seriously for the match, taking into account “Pakhtakor”’s strength and strong results in recent matches. The coach particularly noted that under the new head coach, “Pakhtakor” had shown excellent play in the last three matches and scored many goals.
“We knew that ‘Pakhtakor’ had changed under the new coach and was in great shape. In the last three rounds, they scored 15 goals and conceded only 3. Despite that, I’m satisfied with my players and their performance. We fought well and created several dangerous chances. Unfortunately, finishing remains our main problem,” said the coach.
In the first half, “Pakhtakor” played with high pressure and forced “Khorezm” to retreat into defense. However, in the second half, Fuzailov’s team came out with a completely different approach. According to him, during halftime he told the players to control the ball more and be more active.
“In the first half, we were forced to defend against Pakhtakor’s attacking pressure. In the second half, our playing style changed. I told the guys to hold the ball more and create more danger in the opponent’s half. This was carried out, and we created a few moments. But failing to convert them cost us the result,” explained Hakim Fuzailov.
He also mentioned that an unexpected injury to key player Shahrom Samiev disrupted their initial plans. “Shahrom picked up an injury during training before the match and was left out of the starting lineup. Tomorrow he will undergo a full medical examination,” said the coach.
He further spoke about the team’s near-future plans. Due to the upcoming FIFA dates, the team won’t have much time. “We’ll now prepare for our postponed match against Qizilqum. So far, we’ve played 10 games — 20 more important matches lie ahead,” he added.
In summary, Hakim Fuzailov provided a detailed account of his team’s current form, the reasons behind the loss, and preparation for the upcoming fixtures. “Khorezm” fans continue to support their team, hoping for better results in future matches. The coach’s open and honest comments inspire optimism for the club’s future. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
