Abdurahmonov, Uktamova and Zakirova – our boxers have qualified for the semi-finals in Bangkok!

The boxers of the Uzbek national team are once again demonstrating their skills and strong preparation at the international boxing tournament in Bangkok, Thailand. The next day of the competition, which will last from May 24 to June 1, was successful for our compatriots - several of our boxers won their quarterfinal matches and advanced to the semifinals.

Javohir Abdurakhmonov (–75 kg)
Javohir, who entered the ring against the representative of Kazakhstan, Timur Nurseitov, started the match with great enthusiasm and gained an advantage throughout the fight. Abdurakhmonov, who kept his opponent under pressure in each round, finally won a convincing 4:1 victory and earned the right to participate in the semifinals of the competition.

Nigina Uktamova (–57 kg)
In turn, in the women's match, Nigina Uktamova faced Ge Yaqi from China. The fight was almost one-sided — Nigina acted more actively and accurately than her opponent in each round. As a result, the judges unanimously recorded a 5:0 victory in favor of the Uzbek boxer.

Aziza Zakirova (–75 kg)
Another bright clash of the day took place with the participation of Aziza Zakirova. She confidently defeated the Chinese Zhu Yashu with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the semifinals. Zakirova defeated her opponent not only technically, but also physically, and left a great impression on the fans.

These victories at the tournament in Bangkok are an important foundation not only for a place in the semifinals, but also for medals in the final and beyond. It is clear that our boxers are putting all their strength into the ring in each fight not only for their own names, but also for the honor of the country.
