UFC 316: Harrison defeats Peña by submission and becomes champion

The long-awaited “co-main event” of the UFC 316 tournament — one of the second main fights — has come to an end. Two experienced American fighters — Julianna Peña and Kayla Harrison — clashed in the Octagon.

The fight was intense and uncompromising from the very beginning. Both athletes moved at a high pace, the clash had elements of power and technique, ground and grappling. However, all the excitement ended in the second round: Harrison defeated her opponent by submission (forced submission).
