In the famous Rome-based "Roma" club, where the attacking line has been seriously strengthened by Ukrainian player Artem Dovbyk, recently, there have been rumors in various football publications and social networks that "he will be sold." However, the striker’s agent, Aleksey Lyundovskiy, completely denied these reports.
According to him, Artem Dovbyk was Roma’s top scorer last season and, in his debut season with the team, scored 17 goals. With this result, he surpassed not only the club’s modern history records but also the debut season numbers of legendary strikers such as Edin Džeko, Abel Balbo, and Rudi Völler.
The agent said, "Gasperini is placing great hope on Dovbyk ahead of the new season. However, the club continues searching for a new striker, which is natural since big goals have been set for the team. In modern football, increasing competition and adding new attacking options is one of the most important tasks," he stated.
Aleksey Lyundovskiy also emphasized that he is in constant communication with the club's management and added, "There are no discussions about Artem’s summer transfer, and such an issue is not even on the agenda." That is, the club is not planning to part ways with its main striker under any circumstances and has full confidence in his staying.
It should be noted that earlier, the Italian media reported that "Gasperini is not satisfied with Dovbyk’s style of play." However, these rumors have once again proven to be groundless.
This summer, Roma is once again trying to increase its attacking potential through new transfers, which is primarily connected with the club’s great ambitions. However, Dovbyk’s position at Roma is not under threat for now — on the contrary, he remains one of the team’s main forces. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
