Rozikul Berdiev: The victory was important, transfers are expected

The Super League Round 13 match between “Mashal” and “Nasaf” ended with another valuable victory for the visitors. After securing three points, “Nasaf” head coach Rozikul Berdiev took part in the press conference and spoke in detail about the team’s progress, future plans, and the players.

— We are very pleased with the victory. Three points earned away are always doubly valuable. Our team played well today. In the first half, the initiative was in our hands, but in the second half, we gave the opponent some opportunities and conceded a goal. However, my players have confidence and character. The tactical changes we are making are yielding results, — said the coach.

Eshmurodov’s substitution: injury or mistake?

According to the specialist, the reason for substituting defender Umar Eshmurodov was his injury. After the first half, it became clear that he could not continue the game, and this led to a forced substitution.

Was Islam Kenjaboev’s departure expected?

Berdiev also spoke openly about Islam Kenjaboev leaving the team:
— He struggled with an injury for a year and underwent treatment. But after recovery, he wanted constant game practice. We had planned to gradually bring him back to physical shape. Therefore, by mutual agreement, we released him from the team and wished him luck, — said Berdiev.

New transfers: will the team get stronger?

Work is underway in “Nasaf” to sign new players. According to Berdiev, there are plans to add 2–3 players to the team. Among them are both locals and foreign players.
— We won’t reveal names yet, but our clear goal is to strengthen the team’s play, — said the head coach.

Will Aziz Ganiev return?

Berdiev also put an end to the rumors in the media about Aziz Ganiev’s possible return to “Nasaf”:
— There have been no negotiations about Aziz. He has a valid contract with his current club. In my opinion, he is not in a situation to return to “Nasaf”, — said the specialist.
