The hospitalization of French national team and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has sparked various speculations among the football community. Official statements said he was diagnosed with “gastroenteritis.” However, one of Uzbekistan’s well-known football doctors — "Lokomotiv" club specialist Abror Pirriyev — shared a sharp and consistent opinion on the matter.
On his Telegram channel, the specialist commented on Mbappé’s condition as follows:
“Mbappé was urgently hospitalized. But the very next day, he was discharged. Everything becomes clear from that. The footballer most likely celebrated after the game (out of joy or frustration). He wasn’t cautious with his food and ended up with food poisoning. The official diagnosis ‘gastroenteritis’ is just a nice-sounding label, that’s all.”
According to Pirriyev, if it had really been gastroenteritis, why was Mbappé the only one affected? In such cases, a group outbreak is usually observed. That’s why he described Mbappé as a “spoiled” player with a “fussy character.”
“This is, of course, my professional medical opinion,” he wrote.
Through this statement, Abror Pirriyev emphasized not only the medical aspect but also the importance of professional ethics and discipline from the perspective of sports psychology.
As a reminder, Kylian Mbappé recently suffered an injury in a match, and now his sudden illness has led to various opinions among fans. However, the player is expected to return to the field soon. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
