After the “Dynamo” – “Neftchi” match: Abramov spoke about results, youth, and the future

In the central postponed match of Super League’s 7th round, “Dynamo” lost at home to “Neftchi” with a score of 0:2. After the match ended, the team’s head coach Vadim Abramov answered journalists’ questions.

Commenting on the results, the head coach emphasized: “In such games, everything is decided by little things.” In his opinion, both of “Neftchi”’s goals happened according to an unexpected scenario in football. “Especially the second goal — the player wanted to cross, but his pass went straight into the net,” said the specialist.

According to Abramov, both scorers on the field today (Yuldoshev and Ismoilov) once started their big football path under his guidance, and today “they punished their mentor”.

The coach separately noted the support of fans at the stadium: “Support from fans is very important for us. But results do not depend on atmosphere. There were many young players on the field, and you cannot expect big miracles from them immediately,” he said.

Touching on the issue of lacking a playmaker, Abramov admitted this problem: “We need a player who can control the center of the pitch. Some key players are sidelined due to injury; perhaps we will invite new names before the second round,” said the coach.

Continuing, Abramov responded to fans’ complaints about the postponement of the match and the result: “There was no specially awaited scenario. Both we and our opponents prepared in the same conditions. We ourselves are to blame for the defeat.”

He also mentioned problems in the defensive line: “Two key central defenders are out, which led to gaps in the defense.”

About the next match: “In four days, we face ‘Nasaf’. To go three matches in a row at home without a win would be strange. So whatever happens, we will try to beat ‘Nasaf’ to keep intrigue in the championship,” Abramov clearly stated his goal.
