German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, currently contracted to Barcelona, may find an opportunity to play in the English Premier League, Euro-football.ru reported.
According to Fichajes, Manchester City is interested in acquiring the 33-year-old goalkeeper.
City's head coach Pep Guardiola sees ter Stegen as a solid alternative to Brazilian keeper Ederson, who could leave the club in the near future.
Last season, ter Stegen appeared in only 11 matches due to a knee injury. His current contract with the Catalan side runs until the summer of 2028.
His market value is estimated at around 12 million euros (approximately 148 billion Uzbek soums). Ter Stegen’s experience and goalkeeping skills could be a valuable asset to the team.
For Manchester City, he could serve as a replacement for their current first-choice keeper, Ederson. Additionally, the transfer could also benefit Barcelona financially.
Negotiations are still ongoing, and the outcome is expected to be revealed in the coming days. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
