French midfielder Paul Pogba explained why he was brought to tears while signing with Monaco, Euro-football.ru reported.
The footballer cried before putting pen to paper. “You rarely see me cry, so I hope it meant something to you.
Many images came to my mind. We all know the story with doping, my injury… all of it came back to me at that moment and I couldn’t control my emotions,” the player said, as quoted by Get French Football News.
He also emphasized that the tears were from joy and that it was a deeply meaningful moment in his life. For reference, the club signed Pogba on a two-year deal.
The French footballer had not played since 2023, as he was banned for 18 months due to anti-doping violations. His last club was Juventus of Turin.
Pogba is a World Cup winner with France, having lifted the trophy in 2018. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
