Tottenham acquires Japanese talent until 2030

The famous English club Tottenham has officially announced the signing of a long-term contract with Japanese central defender Kota Takai. According to the terms of the agreement, the 20-year-old footballer will defend the honor of the London club until 2030.

Takai is a graduate of the Japanese club Kawasaki Frontale. At the age of 17, he already debuted for the main team and has played 81 matches in all competitions so far, scoring 4 goals. Notably, he made a significant contribution to his team's reaching the AFC Champions League final.

In September 2024, Takai made his debut for the Japan national team, and so far he has played in 4 matches. According to Transfermarkt, his transfer value is estimated at 2.5 million euros.
