Uzbek central defender Rustam Ashurmatov, who left Rubin and continues his career with Iran’s Istiklol club, recently spoke about Abbosbek Fayzullaev in an interview with Russian sports journalist Vladislav Kruglov.

“I’ve heard there’s interest from Turkey. But I haven’t personally discussed it with him. If he starts playing regularly in the starting lineup there, it would logically make sense to go. But if he ends up on the bench, it would be better to stay in Russia,” said Ashurmatov.

“He doesn’t limit himself to just team training. Abbos also works on himself. That’s a very important aspect. He dreams of playing in Europe and I believe he’ll make it. He has the will and work ethic to reach that goal,” Ashurmatov stressed.
