Palmer became final hero: “Those who didn’t believe in us got their answer”

In the club World Cup final, Chelsea defeated Paris’s PSG by 3–0. The standout star was Cole Palmer. The young English midfielder scored two goals and provided one assist, becoming a chief architect of the victory.

After the match, Palmer shared his impressions:

— “Such an incredible feeling! This victory is even sweeter because before the match many did not believe in us. But we fought with our hearts and proved ourselves. Playing in the final and winning it was a dream of mine.”

He also specifically praised Chelsea’s head coach Enzo Maresca:

— “He drew up an amazing plan, clearly showing where to find space on the opponent’s field. I tried to live up to his confidence. The team is still young, but under Maresca we are moving forward.”

Palmer noted that throughout the season there were many negative comments and rumors about Chelsea, but the team prefers to answer with actions rather than words.
