The world championship in sports wrestling among U17 age category started at a high level in the city of Athens, Greece. At this prestigious tournament, the Uzbekistan national team has already managed to achieve a great result — on the very first day, two of our young wrestlers in Greco-Roman wrestling won gold medals, reports the NOC.
In the 48 kilogram weight category, Bunyod Hasanov defeated all his opponents and became the winner of the tournament. Similarly, in the 80 kilogram weight category, Abdulaziz Kholmurzaev also overcame all his rivals and raised our country’s flag high. This result once again demonstrated how high the potential and preparation of our young wrestlers is.
It should be noted that the competition in Athens attracted great attention among young people around the world.
