A major surprise in the boxing world: undefeated American boxer Gervonta Davis is reportedly planning to retire from professional boxing. This news was revealed by boxing insider Rick Glaser on his social media account on X (formerly Twitter).
“According to very reliable sources, one of Baltimore’s top fighters — Gervonta Davis — has decided to walk away from the sport. He will no longer compete,” Glaser wrote.
Davis, 30, has a stunning record of 30 wins (28 by knockout) and 1 draw in 31 fights.
His last fight took place on March 1, 2025, against Lamont Roach, which ended in a draw. Despite that, his status as an elite boxer remains intact.
The announcement shocked fans, many of whom hoped to see Davis continue dominating in the ring. So far, the boxer has not issued an official confirmation.
Analysts suggest that physical and mental fatigue, as well as shifts in personal priorities, may have influenced his decision.
