Saken Polatov Elected Vice President of Asian Boxing

Today, in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, the next important congress meeting of the "Asian Boxing" organization took place. During the event, future directions and development strategies of boxing across the Asian continent were discussed. Elections were also held for new leadership positions within the organization.

As one of the practical outcomes of the congress, the current president of “Asian Boxing”, Thai representative Pichai Chunhavajira, was re-elected to continue his duties for another term.

Additionally, voting was conducted to determine the vice president among candidates from leading Asian countries — Kazakhstan, Japan, the Philippines, and Uzbekistan. As a result, the first deputy chairman of the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, Saken Polatov, outpaced all competitors and was elected vice president.

At the same time, the vice presidency for the women’s direction was granted to Palestinian representative Fatima Jbara Ahmed Faqeyat.

The Uzbekistan Boxing Federation issued an official statement regarding this important event, emphasizing the growing prestige of national boxing on the international stage. These election results are considered significant not only for Uzbekistan’s sports scene but also for broader sports cooperation across Asia.
