Barca want to terminate Oriol Romeu's contract

Barcelona sporting director Deco is working to offload players not included in head coach Hans-Dieter Flick’s plans for the new season.

One of the players expected to leave is 33-year-old midfielder Oriol Romeu. The club placed him on the transfer list some time ago, but no team has shown interest in signing him.

According to journalist Gabriel Sans, the Catalan club wants to terminate the veteran player’s contract early and is in talks with his agents. Romeu’s current deal is valid for another year.
