In the capital of Thailand, the city of Bangkok, the Asian Championship among boxers under 22 years old and youth (U-19) is being held in an intense atmosphere, reaching its most decisive stage — the finals.
From today, the decisive bouts have started in the ring. Already on the first day, teams in the Youth (U-19) category came out to compete for the title of Asian Champion. In these final matches, which fans had been eagerly awaiting, our compatriots also entered the ring and recorded results that inspire pride.
— First of all, in the -65 kg weight category, Jahongir Zayniddinov left no chance for the Indian Mausam Suhag. The judges announced a unanimous decision of 5:0, and Jahongir won the gold medal.
— Likewise, in the decisive bout at -70 kg, Abduaziz Jurakulov defeated the Kazakh Ashirbay Bibaris with a score of 4:1 and earned the honorable title of Asian Champion.
— However, in the -75 kg weight category, Muhammadjon Yakubboev was unlucky this time. Our boxer lost to his Indian opponent Rahul Kundu with a score of 1:4 and had to settle for the silver medal.
— In the -80 kg category, Norbek Abdullaev acted confidently. In his bout against the Kazakh Timur Taibekov, he won with a score of 4:1 and claimed the title of Asian Champion.
— Samir Sobirov, in the -85 kg final, defeated Kazakh Nursultan Kistaubay with precise and dominant punches. The judges recorded a score of 5:0, and Samir was also awarded a gold medal.
— In the final weight category, +90 kg, Islam Salikhov also met the fans’ expectations. In his bout against Orkhan Aghayev from the United Arab Emirates, he secured a victory by unanimous decision and added another gold medal to our country’s tally.
