After the 20th round of the Super League match between "Sogdiana" and "Dinamo", which ended with a 1:1 score, the head coach of PFC "Dinamo", Vadim Abramov, participated in a press conference and shared his thoughts about the match with the fans.
The head coach first said about the game: “Today we played a match against a team ready for real competition on the football field. I think the game pleased the fans. We really played a heavy and dense match. Because of the penalty awarded in the final minutes, we missed the prepared victory. This situation was unclear. The referee was called to use VAR, but in our episode, no one called for VAR. I do not know what this was related to. In general, I do not understand the VAR system. Such situations occur not only with us but also elsewhere. Also, we were shown cards several times, but when the opponent’s player should have been shown a second 'yellow', the referees remained silent. Maybe I do not fully understand refereeing, so I consider their silence acceptable.”
When asked about satisfaction from the game, Abramov added: “Our team fought until the end and conducted a strong struggle on the field. 'Sogdiana' played before us in the previous round, so they had one more day to recover. Despite this, we also showed good and effective play. Fighting until the end, we finished a difficult match against a hard field and refereeing.”
The head coach also touched on the goalkeepers and said about Edem Nemanov: “We will see, we have an experienced goalkeeper coach, and we hear his opinion before each match. Edem will now be called to the national team.”
When asked about rotation in the match against "Shortan" on August 25, Abramov replied: “What rotation? 'Shortan' is not a simple team. We have not yet won this match. 'Shortan' did not lose to 'Bunyodkor', and today took a point from 'Navbahor'. Therefore, we consider the opponent serious. We know well what consequences may result from underestimating the opponent. We will recover faster and prepare for the next match.”
To the final question of the conference about which players national team coach Timur Kapadze might focus on, the head coach said: “Probably Doriev. About Uzbek players, I do not know. This should be asked to Timur.”
Thus, Vadim Abramov openly and sincerely expressed his opinion about difficult moments of the match, controversial refereeing episodes, and the team fighting until the end, giving fans the opportunity not only to get information but also to feel the events on the field more closely. Each episode and analysis became interesting and a topic for discussion for the fans.
