The anticipated agreement between the renowned Turkish club Fenerbahçe and the English giant Manchester City has come to an end. According to the London club's press service, experienced Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson will now represent the Turkish team.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper has not appeared in any matches for the Citizens this season. He was previously linked to Galatasaray, but Ederson ultimately decided to choose another Istanbul club, Fenerbahçe.
According to reports, approximately £12 million is planned to be paid for the experienced goalkeeper. This amount is also a significant investment for the Turkish club.
City are replacing him with a new level of goalkeeper - Italian international Gianluigi Donnarumma. The 26-year-old goalkeeper will compete for the starting lineup with James Trafford and Stefan Ortega.
Thus, Ederson's several years in England came to an end, and he now has the opportunity to prove himself in Turkish football.
