Liverpool's new signing, Alexander Isak, shared a heartfelt message addressed to his former club, Newcastle, after leaving the club.
The Swedish striker wrote on his social media page:
- Together we have traveled a great historical path. We returned the team to its original status. It's a great honor for me to be part of the process, from securing a Champions League spot to winning my first trophy in 70 years. Eternal gratitude. Thank you, dear Newcastle.
As is known, Isak has not appeared in any matches for Newcastle in the new season. The reason was that he had openly expressed his intention to move to Liverpool and therefore refused to participate in training.
On the last day of the English Premier League summer transfer window, the Swedish striker's dream transfer came true, and he secured a place with the Reds for a record fee.
