A prestigious delegation led by FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited the capital of Uzbekistan and inspected the newly built Olympic Village. During this visit, the delegation was accompanied by the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia and First Deputy of the NOC Otabek Umarov, as well as First Vice-President of the UFA Ravshan Ermatov.
It is worth noting that the construction of the Olympic Village began on November 9, 2022. Soon, this facility will become a symbol not only of the creative potential of our country, but also of the great achievements of Uzbek athletes on the world stage. The complex is distinguished by modern architectural solutions, energy efficiency and the most advanced innovative technologies.
This village, built on an area of more than 100 hectares, includes multifunctional facilities for several sports. All conditions have been created here to hold international competitions in various sports.
After inspecting the Olympic Village, FIFA President Gianni Infantino recognized its high level of construction. He also highlighted the wide-ranging reforms being carried out in the sports sector in Uzbekistan and the conditions being created.
According to Infantino, such large-scale sports infrastructures will serve not only the development of sports in the country in the future, but also the enhancement of the sports potential of the entire region.
The Tashkent Olympic Village will undoubtedly go down in history as an important center not only for local athletes, but also for the international arena.
