Real Madrid's head coach Xabi Alonso has been named La Liga Coach of the Month for the month, the league's press service has announced.
The 43-year-old Spaniard beat out Ernesto Valverde (Athletic) and Manolo Gonzalez (Espanyol) in a special poll to win the award.
Alonso has been in charge of Real Madrid since June 1, 2025. Under his leadership, the team played in all three La Liga matches in August and won them all.
In particular, Madrid achieved an important victory with a minimal score against Osasuna (1:0), a convincing victory against Oviedo (3:0) and a strong victory over Mallorca (2:1).
