Iran coach expresses dissatisfaction with referee decisions

Andranik Teymuryan, a member of the coaching staff of the Iranian national team, which lost in the CAFA Nations Cup final, gave an interview to our website after the match. He expressed his sharp opinion about the refereeing decisions in the game.

"In my opinion, the decision of the head referee almost always worked only to the detriment of the Iranian team. I could not understand why this happened. I witnessed a lot of mistakes during the game. The VAR system also intervened several times. For example, a player from the Uzbekistan national team was shown a red card, but after a VAR review, this decision was overturned. This situation surprised me. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan can also be cited as an example of how the refereeing has suffered.

To be honest, I did not understand how such processes occur and on what basis the red card was shown," said Teymuryan.

At the same time, he also provided information about the future plans of the Iranian national team:

"We will hold several friendly matches in October and November. These matches are important for us. Through this, the team will undergo a little test and then we plan to intensify the preparation process for the World Cup," added the representative of the coaching staff.

It is clear from Andranik Teymuryan's words that the Iranian national team was seriously dissatisfied with the referee's decisions. At the same time, it was emphasized that their main goal is to properly prepare for the World Cup.

The interview was conducted by Abdulvasit Bektemirov.
