Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou has spoken out about the possibility of winning a trophy or a championship in his first season with the club. The Australian coach insists that he does not deny that he could be asked to do so.
"I have won trophies many times in my career in my first season. For example, I won the double in my debut season at Celtic. So I think I can repeat that with Forest.
It is possible that in my second season, I will be asked to win trophies and trophies to stay here. I fully accept that. Because throughout my career I have always fought for trophies and I will do my best here," said Postecoglou.
In his opinion, the tasks in the team and the goals set by the club's management are clear: "Every club wants success, but the direction here and the initiatives taken by the president are visible in practice. And the conditions are very convenient and ideal for me," the coach added.
For information, the 60-year-old Australian specialist has signed a contract with Nottingham Forest until the summer of 2027.
