Uzbek judokas became absolute leaders at the Asian Championship

The Asian Junior and Youth Championship, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, has also concluded. During the competition, Uzbek judokas demonstrated true mastery and high preparedness.

On the very first day of the tournament, the national judo team won 9 medals and took the lead as one of the strongest teams on the continent. This result consisted of 3 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

At the same time, the final stage of the championship was also successful for the youth of Uzbekistan. In the final competitions, 5 of our judokas won one after another, and all of them won the championship title.

As a result, the Uzbekistan youth national team collected 8 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals, winning a total of 14 medals and officially taking first place as Asian champions.

Second place went to the Republic of Korea - they were among the winners with 3 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals. The Indian team closed the top three with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

Notably, following four days of intense competition, the Uzbekistan junior and youth national teams jointly won a total of 31 medals. This result once again demonstrated the readiness of our young judokas to enter the world arena as a worthy force.
