During his visit to the Namangan region, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, highlighted the local sports scene, particularly the extensive cooperation between the Navbahor club and the football school.
- It's impossible not to come to Namangan and talk about football. Because here, football has become not just a simple activity for young people, but a way of life. Every child grows up playing football in their neighborhood. And every match of "Navbahor" will become a big celebration for the whole city," the head of state said.
For information, an important agreement was recently reached: the "Navbahor" football school will be transferred to the management of the famous Dutch academy "Ajax" for three years. According to the announcement, 11 experienced Ajax coaches, scouts, and methodologists will begin their work in Namangan.
As the President of our country noted, with the help of this initiative, it is expected that in the future many talented football players will play for the leading clubs of the world and defend the honor of the Motherland at the World Cup.
Also, within the framework of the visit, reports of heads of regions and industries were heard, and the best practices of local entrepreneurs were considered, the press secretary of the President Sherzod Asadov reported on his channel.
