A press conference was held ahead of the "Arkadag" - "Andijan" match in Group B of the Asian Champions League-2. The Eagles' head coach, Maksim Shatskikh, and goalkeeper Erjan Tokotayev participated and answered journalists' questions.
"First of all, I congratulate all of you," said Shatskikh. - We have received sufficient information about the opponent. We carefully studied the performances of the Turkmenistan champion in last year's "Chaqiriq Cup" and analyzed his performances in the CAFA tournament. Therefore, we made serious preparations for the first match in the group.
The experienced specialist noted that "Arkadag" is actually the main core of the Turkmenistan national team:
- Almost 99 percent of our players play for the national team. This is a great test for us. But we are playing as "Andijan," and our goal is victory. We didn't come here for a draw. I believe we will play a fast and disciplined game.
Shatskikh also spoke about the current state of the team:
- Everything is positive. Our trip was successful. We will try to implement our established plans.
To the question that "Andijan" is a debutant and that the squad has not yet been fully formed, he answered:
- Our research is ongoing. I won't say anything definitive now, but we have plans to strengthen the squad.
Goalkeeper Erzhan Tokotayev also took part in the press conference. The Kyrgyz goalkeeper answered a question about his recent injury at the CAFA tournament:
"Thank you, I'm fine." I fully recovered from the injury. "I'm ready for tomorrow's game," said Tokotayev.
He added his thoughts about the opponent:
"Arkadag is a team with extensive experience, it has its own strengths. But we are not afraid, we respect the opponent. Therefore, it will definitely be an interesting and intense debate.
