Ayntraht defeated Galatasaray by a large margin

Eintracht Frankfurt club defeated Galatasaray 5:1 in the 1st round of the UEFA Champions League. Although the Turkish team opened the score with a goal by Yunus Akgün in the 8th minute, the rest of the match was completely dominated by Eintracht.

The Germans responded with 5 goals: Davinson Sanchez (37'), Jean-Eudes Aholou (45+2'), Wilfried Singo (45+4'), Jonathan Burkardt (66') and Ansgar Knauff (75').

According to statistics, Galatasaray had ball possession advantage — 62% possession and 85% accurate passes. However, Eintracht made effective use of their chances and secured a big victory. With this result, Eintracht rose to 1st place in the group with 3 points.
