The PSG delegation embarked on an expedited trip to the Ballon d'Or ceremony

Paris's leading club, PSG, faced two major events simultaneously - the French championship match against Marseille and the prestigious Ballon d'Or award ceremony in Paris.

Initially, the Parisian delegation was planned to consist of 60 people. However, due to the postponement of the meeting to today, the number of delegations was reduced to 40. Following this decision, some players and their relatives were denied the opportunity to attend the ceremony.

One of the main contenders for the Ballon d'Or, Ousmane Dembélé, is under secondary pressure. He is entrusted with the responsibility of both the important championship game and the ceremony. Therefore, Dembélé sees today as a great test.

The ceremony will begin at 11:00 PM. According to PSG's press service, the team returned to Paris yesterday and will return to Marseille today. In a reduced squad of 40 (without security personnel), Dembélé will participate with his family members. Young talents Dezire Doué and Joao Nevesch will also attend the ceremony with their loved ones. However, Dembélé's requested 30 guests will not be able to occupy the main part of the 400-seat theater.

The participation of club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in the ceremony remains unknown. Head coach Luis Enrique, having previously criticized the individual award system, decided not to attend the ceremony.

In this context, the reduction in PSG's delegation and the ceremony against the backdrop of internal tensions are expected to generate significant interest.
