Goal apologized after the misinformation about Mikhail Mudryk

The influential portal "Goal" has apologized for the news about Chelsea player Michael Mudryk. The report reported that the Ukrainian footballer could participate in the 2028 Olympics as an athlete, but it turned out that this information was incorrect. Mudryk was temporarily suspended from football some time ago due to a positive doping test result.

"We acknowledge that the disseminated information is false. Mudryk has not been disqualified, but has been temporarily suspended, and the final decision on his doping case has not yet been made. Additionally, Mudryk is not considering the possibility of working as an Olympic runner," the statement said.

"We apologize to Mudrik for the inconvenience and damage caused by the publication. This article has been removed from our platforms."

Mudryk's current contract with Chelsea runs until mid-2031.

This news once again shows that it shouldn't cause additional career problems for Mudryk and that one should be cautious of misinformation about the player.
