In the 77th minute, Danny Welbeck equalized the score at 1:1. The most dramatic moment of the match came in injury time added by the referee. Welbeck scored a brace in the 90+10', and De Keijzer scored in the 90+2’, sealing the match.
According to statistics, Chelsea led in ball possession (59%), passes (450), and accuracy (84%). However, Brighton showed a more effective performance with 12 shots, 7 corners, and three shots on target.
This result was a heavy blow for Chelsea — they dropped to 7th place in the league table.
