In 2006, the Italian famous footballer and coach Fabio Cannavaro, who won the Ballon d'Or, according to Sport-Express, rejected offers from both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan national teams at the same time.
According to sources, the 52-year-old specialist politely declined these offers. Cannavaro is currently focused on returning to Italy and, if an opportunity arises during the season, managing one of the Serie A teams.
Earlier, reports had circulated in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan media about ongoing negotiations with Cannavaro. However, the legendary footballer is directing his attention to working opportunities in Europe, especially in Italy.
We remind that during his coaching career Cannavaro managed Al-Ahli, Guangzhou Evergrande, Al-Nassr, Tianjin Quanjian, the China national team, as well as European clubs Benevento, Udinese, and Dinamo Zagreb.
