Well-known journalist Dmitry Yegorov expressed a sharp opinion about possible changes in the management of the national team. He believes that the idea of appointing Fabio Cannavaro as head coach is an "unjustified decision" and may not lead to results in practice.
Yegorov noted that the Italian specialist has not accumulated sufficient experience at a high level. As an example, he recalled the loss of the championship at the end of last season with Dinamo Zagreb. The journalist also objected to the financial figures being published around this candidate.
"Kannavaro, as a true coach, has done very little himself. They say they want to pay him another 4 million euros - why? How justified is this?," Yegorov posed questions on social media. At the same time, he added, the local specialist, who led the team to the final stage, should have been given the opportunity to complete the work.

Two distinct approaches are clearly visible in the discussions surrounding the candidate. Regardless of who the head coach is, maintaining a competitive squad, adjusting player loads, and managing each call-up according to a plan remain essential.
