Akbar Juraev became a three-time world champion

Akbar Juraev had a strong showing at the World Weightlifting Championships being held in Norway, Uznews.uz reported.

He competed in the 110 kg weight category and set a world record by lifting 196 kg in the snatch. This result enabled him to advance in the competition.

In the clean and jerk, Juraev lifted 232 kg and became world champion in the total with a combined lift of 428 kg.

Ruslan Nurudinov also performed successfully, winning 2 bronze medals with a snatch of 228 kg and a combined total of 414 kg.
